Snapdragon is owned and run by Lana Affonso. “Photography, for me is not a job or a hobby it’s a passion. These are moments and memories of your life that you will never get back so why not cherish them with a photo that lasts longer then a life time.” Be it a special event, a child’s first dressage show, the way the sun rises over a misty pond, or just wanting to remember your pet for a life time Snapdragon Photography wants to be there to help you capture the memory.
Lana’s interest in photography started at a very young age. Having friends and family pose and taking pictures of the Tip Top Farm’s extend family of pets and livestock. The challenge of getting the perfect shot was the spark that fed the flame. This passion progressed with age, education, and new mediums. “Staying current with new trends is important but I still have a great passion for old style photograpy” states Lana when asked about her passion.
Creating and editing is no slight job for snapdragon photography. Every detail is taken into account. Lighting and color are sure to be at the best quality possible. Many different mediums are available through Snapdragon. Just ask about the interesting things that can be done.
Growing up with goats, chickens, horses, dogs, cats and the occasional rodent, Lana has a very strong understanding of animals. “Sometimes it takes just waiting long enough for the right moment to capture, not just the pet, but they personality and true spirit of the animal that I am shooting.” Lana has a lot of experience with horses and horse events as she grew up with family that is very active in the Equine lifestyle. It’s no small task working to capture memories and quick moments in nature that will never be the same again, but to Lana “An hour spent with a camera is never an hour wasted.” Snapdragon is looking forward to hearing from you and helping you with your special moments.
